SEATTLE - Coming off its best season, the Seattle Sounders signed Sigi Schmid to a multi-year contract on Thursday, keeping around the only coach in franchise history.General manager Adrian Hanauer announced Schmids new deal during an end-of-season news conference. The Sounders were eliminated from the MLS Cup playoffs last Sunday by Los Angeles.Sigi will be around for the foreseeable future.
