Stéphane Waite is coming home! After spending the past 10 years with the Chicago Blackhawks organization, Waite, a Sherbrooke, Quebec native, has been named the new goaltending coach of the Montreal Canadiens. Asdrubal Cabrera Jersey . The Habs have been looking for a new goalie coach since they decided not to renew the contract of Pierre Groulx back on June 3 of this year. Waite grew up a Canadiens fan and felt it was the perfect time for him and his family to move back to Quebec. "My dream has always been to win a Stanley Cup with the Montreal Canadiens," Waite said on Thursday afternoon. Along with over 30 years of experience as a goalie coach, he knows a thing or two about what it takes to win the Stanley Cup. During his tenure with the Blackhawks he helped two different goaltenders capture a championship, Antti Niemi in 2010 and most recently Corey Crawford this year. Waite made sure to call fellow Quebec native Crawford this morning to let him know the reasons as to why he has decided to join the Habs. The Canadiens and Carey Price both agree his game needs to be taken to another level and the Habs are hoping Waite can be the difference. Tom Seaver Jersey ."
