"We are very excited to participate in a friendly match with Wilmington during the FIFA World Cup break," said Toronto FC general manager Tim Bezbatchenko. "Wilmington has done a great job thus far in providing our players on loan with everything they need to succeed and grow in a professional environment. "This is another opportunity to strengthen our relationship with our affiliate club and bring Toronto FC into their market, all while giving our players match minutes during the break." The Hammerheads currently sit 10th in USL Pro table with eight points and a record of 2-1-2. The match will not effect league points for either team.
