Buffalo, though, tied the game with 6:52 left in regulation when Stewart jammed the puck in during a scrum in front for his first of the year. Detroit had a power play in the extra session when Brian Gionta was whistled for hooking, but was unable to take advantage of the 4-on-3 situation.
